MALAHIDE CASTLE & GARDENS

Malahide Castle and Gardens and sea-side walk

TOUR OUTLINE

Situated 30 minutes north of Dublin’s city centre is the picturesque seaside village of Malahide. Originally founded by the Vikings this scenic coastline enjoys beautiful beaches, landmarks, shops. Bars and restaurants.  Start your visit to Malahide by enjoying the magnificent Malahide Castle, home to generations of the Talbot family for hundreds of years and also enjoy its historic gardens, fairy trail, butterfly house and rare flora. Train tickets, entrance to the castle and gardens & a picnic or restaurant lunch are all included in the price!

4  REASONS TO DO THIS TOUR

  1. Travel out to Malahide on a scenic train journey
  2. Enjoy one of Ireland’s most historic castles, grounds and gardens
  3. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch
  4. Stroll along some of the best city beaches in the world and take a breather from the hustle of the city.

What a fantastic way to spend a day and discover Ireland’s history in Ruairi’s company while also being entertained with great personal stories and recollections by a born raconteur. The Lunch alone would have been worth the fee.  Amazing seafood.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of taking the Malahide Tour with Ruairi.  He told us all about the castle's history with the Talbot family and he even snuck in a ghost story or two. We have dietary restrictions (celiac disease) and so we couldn't the planned lunch, but Ruari, thoughtful as he was, packed us a completely gluten-free picnic with wine. I would highly recommend booking the friendliest tour guide in the world for a great day. Thanks so much!

Great tour, great choice of food, took all the hassle out of things and we laughed all day. Couldn’t recommend Ruairi more highly
